Some friends came to visit this week and we decided to go with them to Amer Fort. The fun thing about Amer Fort is that you can ride elephants up to the fort just like the King used to when he would come home from battle. It was Josiah's first elephant ride.
You can see in this first picture that most of the ride Josiah was hanging on to the side bar.
Although Mark and Lela were scared at first...
they were professionals by the time we reached the top!
This was also Josiah's first time petting an elephant. As you can see he started out only touching him with his index finger...
but quickly became comfortable with his new friend, Radha. Everytime Josiah would pet his trunk, Radha would close his eyes like it felt so good. Josiah was really intrigued by the coarse, prickly hair on Radha's trunk.

And of course, a trip out wouldn't be complete without someone taking Josiah out of my arms and getting their picture taken with him.

Reading through your posts makes me miss Thailand SO much - we just loved our time there! And we really enjoyed hanging out with you guys. (Looking forward to your stop over in Egypt!) That is so cute seeing Josiah eat beef for the first time. Lydia is very jealous that she wasn't able to ride an elephant with Josiah. I think they would be great friends!
