Catching Up On 7 Weeks - Part 2

I had way too many pictures to upload on one post so this is part two of the last one. We are on our way out of town again so I'm not sure when we'll be able to post again. We get back on July 5th but I'll try to post before then...we'll see.

I know I've said this before, but Indians LOVE babies. Everywhere we go people are constantly taking pictures of Josiah. This policeman put his beret on Josiah and took pictures, Josiah loved it.

He looks pretty proud of himself.

Josiah is into EVERYTHING now! Here he's playing in the laundry basket. He was actually rolling all over the room in it.

I think he looks so much older than 10 months in this picture! I wonder if it is all the hair...

It was cold up in the mountains and every time I would bathe Josiah in the bathroom he would cry. He liked it much better in the middle of the day outside in the warm sunshine.

He was really interested in Uncle Johnny's guitar.

We received a package from Nani and Pawpaw...okay so really it was mostly for Josiah as you can see from the big smile on his face.

Here is a video of the little man pulling the goodies out of the box. So it's not really exciting stuff, but this video is more for Nani and Pawpaw anyway.

Josiah and Mommy are in front of the Ganges river in Rishikesh.

This is a great video of Josiah's laugh. He looks like his eyes are about to pop out of his head. What a silly little boy!

And finally proof that our little man can walk!

Catching up on 7 weeks

We're finally home from Mussoorie! After seven long and wonderfully cool weeks, here we are back in the hot desert. We're so glad to be home, but we'll be leaving again in a week and a half - just long enough to get the laundry caught up and repack.
Anyway, Josiah just turned 10 months old on Sunday. Unbelievable!! All of these pictures and videos are from the last 7 weeks, including right before we left for Mussoorie. I hope you enjoy them!

Everytime we went to this one place to eat, the shop keeper gave Josiah a candy bar. Indians love to give children candy - their age doesn't matter. I got really tired of trying to explain that we aren't letting him have sweets, and so I just let him play with it. Later, when the shop keeper wasn't looking, we would stick the candy in our bag and we'd eat it later! ha! We're still finding candy bars in our bags as we unpack!

Josiah's "enjoying" his candy bar.

Josiah, Mom and Aunt Heather

Josiah driving Uncle Johnny's car.

I don't know which face is funnier - Josiah's or Uncle Johnny's!

Josiah would almost eat this whole apple pancake every Saturday morning. I didn't put syrup on it, but he didn't seem to mind.

Here he is just being silly.

Josiah and Mommy on the "Ferris Wheel." We'll save that for another post.

Josiah and his buddy, Samuel. Samuel is 11 months old.

They had so much fun that they passed out in the car on the way home.

And here are two videos. The first one is our fun with Josiah and a laser pointer and the second one is a gift from Josiah's Aunt Sandy. Josiah loves the Hip Hop Man!

Anniversary

Sunday, June 1st was our 6 year anniversary. We dated for 3 years before we got married, so that’s a total of 9 years together. It’s hard to believe how much we’ve been able to do, see and all the places we’ve gone in the last 6 years. I certainly never thought I’d have my first baby after 5 years of marriage and that we would have him overseas. It seems that all my plans have not been the same as God’s. Although it’s been 6 hard years in many ways (especially the last 2), it’s also been 6 wonderful years. I’m so grateful for Aaron. Everyday, he continues to amaze me. God has blessed me with a wonderful husband.

And for our anniversary present – Josiah took his first steps! Thankfully, Aaron and I were both there to see it. He took 2 wobbly steps before collapsing into my arms. He’s not my baby anymore! I’m so amazed by the wonder of parenting. To see this tiny infant, born so helpless and then suddenly one day, he’s taking his first steps into my arms. Amazing.

Sorry there aren’t any pictures, but we can’t upload them at the internet cafĂ©. You’ll just have to wait another week and a half until we get home.
